Green Day postpones S'pore concert on Mar. 8, 2020 due to Covid-19 outbreak

Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road.

American rock band Green Day was scheduled to make their comeback in Singapore after 10 years.

Concerts in Singapore and Hong Kong postponed

However, in light of the Covid-19 situation, the band has postponed their Mar. 8 concert.

The concert was going to take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In addition to Singapore, Green Day has also postponed their Hong Kong concert that was scheduled for Mar. 20.

In a statement posted on their Facebook page, the band wrote:

"We have unfortunately made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming shows in Asia due to the health + travel concerns with coronavirus.

We know it sucks, as we were looking forward to seeing you all, but hold on to your tickets we’ll be announcing the new dates very soon."

Tickets purchased remain valid for rescheduled date

Concert promoter Lushington Entertainments explained that the tickets which were purchased through Sports Hub Tix in Singapore will remain valid for the rescheduled date.

Lushington added that it is actively working with Green Day's management team to set a new concert date.

Once settled, the date will be announced.

"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding."
