Milk is one of those products that you never realise how much you have left until it’s going to expire.

So when you have too much milk to finish, what do you do?

One guy from Serangoon, Leslie Koh, has the answer.

Making use of leftover milk in a two-litre bottle, he made delicious steamed milk custard.

This is not the first time Koh has shared hacks to clear excess food at home. Earlier this month, Koh also shared step-by-step instructions on how to make Japanese pancakes using canned food and instant noodles for Valentine's Day.

Koh uploaded photos of each step of the recipe of homemade milk custard in a Facebook post on Feb. 23.

The tasty hack has since gone viral, garnering over 1,400 shares.

If you want to try, here's how to make it.

The recipe

1) Boil 400 ml of milk on low heat.

2) Once it starts boiling, remove from heat and let the milk cool down to room temperature.

4) Add half a tablespoon of white sugar for every 100 ml of milk. This amount can be adjusted accordingly.
