In various posts, she also gave her followers a glimpse of her past life of training to becoming a professional musician.

In a feature on the DeviantArt website, Qinni was quoted saying:

"I wanted to be a "mangaka" (comic artist) since I was a kid, but always viewed it as a faraway fantasy because my parents were grooming me to be a violinist. When I was young, I was never allowed to draw at home, but I'd doodle on my notebooks in class and homework sheets. Ultimately, I think one of the reasons why my mom relented and let me go into art for college was because of the DeviantArt community and how much love I was given there."

Shared her struggles with her health online

According to her social media description and a post of her surgery scar, she was a four-time open heart surgery survivor and turned to art to feel better.

On Nov. 8, Qinni announced that the doctors found a "lump mass" in her, although they weren't sure if it was cancer then.
