The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced another four more cases of the coronavirus today (Feb. 5), three (cases 25, 27, and 28) of whom are linked to the Lavender cluster announced on Feb. 4.

The Lavender cluster also consists of cases 19, 20, 21, and 24.

According to MOH, this cluster of transmission can be traced to a tour group from Guangxi comprising 20 tourists who had visited Singapore from Jan. 22 to Jan. 23, as well as Jan. 27.

Chinese health authorities have confirmed that two travellers from that group have been confirmed with the coronavirus.

Aside from Yong Thai Hang (a complementary health shop) at 24 Cavan Road, this group visited:

  • Diamond Industries Jewellery Company (Harbour Drive)
  • Meeting You Restaurant (14 Hamilton Road)
  • Royal Dragon Restaurant (2 Havelock Road)
  • T Galleria by DFS (25 Scotts Road)
  • D’Resort @ Downtown East (1 Pasir Ris Close)

"It has been almost 14 days since the tourists visited these places. We have reached out to 142 contacts, and all but one are well. The person has been isolated as a suspect case and test results are pending," said MOH.

"We have also conducted contact tracing of the crew and passengers of the departing flight on Jan. 27. Five are still in Singapore and they have been quarantined."
