On February 15, the Ministry of Health provided an update on the previously confirmed coronavirus (Covid-19) patients.

Second confirmed case linked to church in Ang Mo Kio

Patient 65, who was announced along with eight other cases on Friday (Feb. 14), has been identified as a family member of Patient 50 who works at DBS.

The 61-year-old female Singaporean is the second family member of Patient 50 to have contracted the virus, after Patient 55.

Like Patient 55, Patient 65 also attended church services at Church of Christ the King (2221 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8) prior to hospital admission.

They both stay at Mei Hwan Drive.

She had been identified as a close contact of Patient 50 and was sent to NCID for an assessment by ambulance on Feb. 12.

Two days later, on the morning of Feb. 14, she was confirmed to have a Covid-19 infection.

This means that there are currently two cases identified with links to the Church of Christ the King via contact tracing.

Neither Patient 65 or Patient 55 — a 30-year-old male Singaporean — have recent travel history to China.
