In an internal circular on Feb. 17, the management of Ngee Ann City announced that a case of Covid-19 was reported from one of the office towers.
Confirmed case worked at Ngee Ann City
According to the circular, the security was alerted to the case on Feb. 17 at around 12pm. The confirmed case worked at the office building of Tower A.
The management stated that the affected floor and office space will be disinfected and deep cleaned. This includes common spaces such as the toilets and lifts.
On top of the deep cleaning processes in the immediate area and common area, "special cleaning and disinfection" have also been carried out in surrounding areas as a precaution, the management added.
All tenants of office tower A and B, as well as the shopping podium are informed of this update.
It is not sure whether this is one of the reported confirmed cases so far.
Feb. 16 update on Covid-19 situation in Singapore
On Feb. 17 evening, the Ministry of Health announced two new confirmed cases.
One of them is a one-year-old baby who was evacuated from Wuhan on Feb. 9.
The other is a 35-year-old Singaporean man who was linked to a previous case.
As of Feb. 17, Singapore has 77 confirmed cases. Of these, 24 of them have been discharged from the hospital.
