With five new confirmed cases announced on Feb. 15, there are 72 confirmed coronavirus cases in Singapore.
Of those, 16 are linked to the Grace Assembly of God church.
This is the largest Covid-19 cluster identified by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
Other clusters include The Life Church and Missions Singapore (five cases), Yong Thai Hang (nine cases), business meeting at Grand Hyatt Singapore (three cases) and Seletar Aerospace Heights construction site (five cases).
79-year-old infected patient
Among the latest confirmed cases is a 79-year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to China.
She is the oldest infected patient in Singapore and is a family member of patient 66 who was confirmed yesterday.
The update from MOH on Feb. 15 stated that patient 66 is a 28-year-old male Singapore Citizen.
Patient 66 attended services at church in Bishan
He too has no recent travel history to China but is linked to the cluster at Grace Assembly of God.
He reported onset of symptoms on January 29 and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on February 2, February 5 and February 12.
He was referred to the National Centre of Infectious Diseases on February 12.
Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on February 14 morning.
Prior to hospital admission, the 28-year-old had gone to work at Grace Assembly of God. He also attended church services at God’s Kingdom Bread of Life Church along 37 Jalan Permimpin.
He stays at Mei Hwan Drive.
Out of the 72 confirmed cases in Singapore, 18 have been discharged from the hospital.
Of the 54 confirmed cases still hospitalised, most are stable or improving. Six are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
Contact tracing for the confirmed cases is ongoing.
