Three-year-old boy found dead in Ang Mo Kio

According to the Chinese evening daily, Lianhe Wanbao, the incident happened at around 6:30am in the morning at Blk 332 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1.

In response to Mothership's query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force said that it responded to a call for medical assistance at Blk 332 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 at around 6:45am.

A three-year-old male was pronounced dead at scene by the SCDF paramedic.

Suspected to have fallen from the unit by accident

The deceased lived with his grandparents at the block while his mother lived elsewhere but often visited the boy.

According to a passerby who lives in the area, the boy was lying motionlessly and his head was bleeding profusely.  When the passerby looked up, she saw the window of the unit was open and suspected that the boy could have fallen from the block.

Another resident, a 69-year-old retiree, said that she heard the boy crying in the house before the incident.

Wanbao understands that the boy was alone at home when the incident happened and possibly was looking for the adults after waking up.
