A pair of assailants dressed in jackets and motorcycle helmets with visors down were caught on camera assaulting a man in broad daylight in a HDB estate.

Footage of the assault has been shared on Facebook:

There was no mention when or where the assault took place.

What happened

The two assailants were seen walking towards the victim and even going past him initially.

After the two assailants walked towards the end of the pathway, they turned back and approached the victim again.

Out of nowhere, both of the assailants rained punches and kicks on the victim who had been seated and appeared to have been chatting on the phone.

The victim was stomped on and did not move after the assault was over and could be seen lying motionless on the ground.

Just before the assault took place, the victim exchanged greetings with another man in white who walked past.

Numerous comments on the video speculated that the two assailants in helmets and long-sleeve clothing were trying to conceal their identities.

Other comments noted how the joss paper started swirling in the wind the moment the assault took place.

Others said they hope law enforcement can act soon and are of the view that the assailants concealing their identities this way will be futile.
