A video of an exasperated doctor losing his cool at a clinic was uploaded and circulated online recently.

The 28-second video was supposedly taken during a conflict between the doctor and his patient in Malaysia on Feb. 18.

What happened in the video

While it was unclear what happened prior to the conflict, the man and woman behind the camera seemed to have an unsettled issue with the doctor and wanted immediate attention.

In the video, the doctor is heard telling the duo that he will attend to them after finishing the case at hand.

He then asked the two of them, "Can wait or not? If cannot, get out."

In response, the duo said that the doctor made a mistake and they could not wait.

The lady who was filming the video then asked the doctor to show his face to the camera and said, "today you'll be very viral."

The doctor then appears to give up on the argument and asks them to "do whatever you want".

Netizens react

The video was circulated in several Facebook groups and some netizens quickly identified that it did not take place in Singapore.

A number of netizens were empathetic towards the doctor and disagreed that the video should be taken or uploaded.

A few in the comment section also cautioned the rest to avoid jumping to conclusions without knowing the full story.

Lady clarified that she was not given the right medicine

According to the New Straits Times, the incident happened in a clinic in Rasah, Negri Sembilan, Malaysia.

The woman reportedly expressed her displeasure towards the doctor in a Facebook post.

She said that she had a cough and flu but the doctor had not check on her breathing with his stethoscope and allegedly told her that he would prescribe some cough medicine for her.

However, she received flu and diarrhoea medicine instead at the pharmacy counter afterwards and was asked to clarify with the doctor.

The doctor replied, "go tell her la" and the lady had to go back to the pharmacy counter again.

After about 15 minutes, the pharmacist asked her to once again go see the doctor to ask him for an update .

It was reported that the lady went in with her father who asked why he couldn't prescribe the medicine correctly and that sparked the quarrel.

Conflict resolved

The state's health department said later in the evening that a preliminary probing is underway and the matter has been resolved amicably between the two parties.

It also urged members of the public to avoid speculation against both parties and any complaints should be done via official channels.
