The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed four additional cases of coronavirus in Singapore on Wednesday (Feb. 5).

Three of these patients are linked to the cluster of local transmission announced on Feb. 4, while the last patient is a Chinese tourist from Wuhan.

MOH said in a statement that there is yet no evidence of widespread community transmission in Singapore.

Further details on previous cases

In the statement, MOH released further details about the 22nd and 23rd case of the coronavirus, which was initially announced on Feb. 4.

The two are male Singapore citizens aged 41 and 17 respectively, and were among the Singaporeans who had been evacuated from Wuhan on Jan. 30.

They are now warded in isolation rooms at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

The 24th patient, a 32-year-old female Singapore citizen, went to NCID on Feb. 3, and was confirmed to have the coronavirus on Feb. 4, at around 2pm.

She was the tour guide who had brought the Chinese tourists around.

Although she had previously reported that she did not display any symptoms when she went to NCID, she subsequently told NCID on the night of Feb. 4 that she had developed a fever earlier on Jan. 30.

Prior to her hospital admission, she stayed at her residence at Buangkok Green and worked at Jalan Besar. The woman also visited Hougang Polyclinic on Jan. 30, and went to a supermarket near her home.

She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

25th case

The 25th patient confirmed to be infected in Singapore is a 40-year-old male Singapore citizen, who has no recent travel history to China.

He is the husband of the 24th patient.

According to MOH's statement, he visited Hougang Polyclinic with his wife on Jan. 30, and self-presented at NCID on Feb. 3, where he was immediately isolated.

He was confirmed to have coronavirus on Feb. 4 at about 8pm.

Prior to his hospital admission, the man stayed at his home in Buangkok Green, and worked at Diamond Industries Jewellery Company at Harbour Drive, which was visited by the same tour group from Guangxi.

The man said that he had visited Pasir Panjang Hawker Centre, and that he had travelled by public transport.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

26th case

The 26th patient confirmed to have coronavirus in Singapore is a 42-year-old Chinese national who arrived in Singapore from Wuhan on Jan. 21, and is the daughter of the 13th announced patient.

As she displayed symptoms, she was sent to NCID via ambulance on the same day as her mother, and was immediately isolated.

Subsequent test results confirmed the coronavirus infection on Feb. 4, at about 8pm.

She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

27th and 28th case

The 27th and 28th patient confirmed to have coronavirus in Singapore, who have no recent travel history to China, are family members of the 19th announced patient.

The 27th patient is a 45-year-old male Singapore citizen who is the husband of the 19th patient, and was tested positive for coronavirus on Feb. 5 at about 2pm.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

The 28th patient is a six-month-old male Singapore citizen who is the child of the 19th and 27th patient.

He was tested positive for coronavirus on Feb. 5 at about 2pm, and is currently warded in an isolation room at KK Women's and Children's Hospital.

According to MOH, they have initiated epidemiological investigations and contact tracing to identify individuals who had close contact with the cases.
