Rumours of over 100 Wuhan travellers denied entry into S'pore untrue, says ICA

Don't speculate or spread false rumours.

There have been rumours going around that Singapore authorities have denied entry to arriving travellers from Wuhan.

Mothership reader has also reached out to us alleging that these visitors, were redirected to Hangzhou.

Rumours have also been circulating that two of the flight passengers had been infected by the novel coronavirus.

Rumours untrue

However, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has come out to debunk that sentiment.

In a Facebook post, ICA clarified that the rumours were untrue and the alleged incident didn't take place at all.

ICA also reminded members of the public to not speculate or spread unfounded rumours.

Chinese media CCTV has also come out to debunk the news that had been circulating on Weibo as well.
