Jennifer Gates, the eldest daughter of billionaire Microsoft founder Bill Gates, announced her engagement to her equestrian boyfriend, Nayel Nassar, on Jan. 30 (Thu).

The 23-year-old Stanford University graduate shared the happy news on Instagram, announcing her engagement to the Egyptian sportsman.

Nassar, an accomplished equestrian who secured an Olympic spot for the Egyptian team at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020, also posted about his successful proposal on his Instagram page.

The engagement comes just weeks after Jennifer’s parents, Bill and Melinda Gates, celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on Jan. 1.

Besides being a medical student, Jennifer is also a competitive equestrian, according to CNN.

Gates is also the manager of the Paris Panthers, a professional equestrian team for which Nassar competes.

Sharing her love for the sport with her boyfriend, she said: "To be able to share our love and passion for horses with each other is just incredible."
