Aussie paedophile who sexually abused 5 boys in S'pore sentenced to 35 years' jail in Melbourne

The judge called him a "child abuser of appalling ... proportions".

According to The Age, Australian paedophile Boris Kunsevitsky received a maximum sentence of 35 years in jail in the Supreme Court in Melbourne on Jan. 29, 2019.

Produced over 35,000 photos and 4,800 videos of his victims' abuse

The 53-year-old sexually abused 47 boys in Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and Australia.

Kunsevitsky would film and photograph his acts of paedophilia on the boys and make the boys perform sexual acts on one another.

Between 2002 and 2017, he took over 35,000 photos and recorded 4,800 videos of abuse in Asia and Australia.

40 of his victims were from Philippines, while 5 victims were from Singapore

Kunsevitsky used to work in Singapore as clinical director at Esthemedica from 2014 to 2017, where he was in-charge of selling aesthetic equipment, according to CNA.

During that period, his job took him all over Asia as the medical aesthetics company had a customer base all over the region.

In public Facebook posts from aesthetics companies from Vietnam and Philippines, he travelled to these two countries in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

According to CNA, Kunsevitsky used his work trips across Southeast Asia to engage in "sex tourism".

Most of his victims were from Philippines, while he abused five boys while he was Singapore and one in Indonesia.

During his sentencing on Jan. 29, the Supreme Court of Victoria Justice John Champion said to Kunsevitsky in court, "you chose destinations where you could easily and readily access young boys", The Age reported.

According to CNA, Kunsevitsky pleaded guilty to 59 charges, including having sex with a child, making child pornography material, and inducing a child to have sex with another child.

He will need to serve at least 28 years of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

His Australian victim felt confused and isolated since he was sexually abused

One of his past victims, An Australian who is now in his 20s, developed depression and anxiety due to the sexual abuse he suffered.

He had tried to commit suicide and was $100,000 deep in debt due to addiction to drugs, reported The Age.

In addition, the victim lost his job and suffered a marriage breakdown.
