A man was pronounced dead beside Kallang River at 12 Upper Boon Keng Road by Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedics on Dec. 26, 2019.
The SCDF was alerted to an incident there at about 5.40pm.
This was the scene along the Kallang River at around 6.40pm.
The cordoned area was extended at around 7pm as more onlookers showed up.
A body was then apparently spotted being pulled out from the river around that time.
At about 7.18pm, an SCDF vehicle was spotted at the scene to provide lighting for the SCDF personnel.
In response to queries from Mothership, SCDF said: "SCDF was alerted to an incident at 12 Upper Boon Keng Road at about 5.40pm on 26 December. A person was pronounced dead at scene by SCDF paramedics."

"On 26 December 2019 at about 5.36pm, the Police were alerted to a case of unnatural death near Blk 12 Upper Boon Keng Road, where the body of a 52-year-old man was found in the water. The body of the man was retrieved and he was pronounced dead by SCDF paramedics at scene. Police investigations are ongoing."
