One taxi driver had a particularly bad day after picking up a passenger from Boat Quay.

Puke all over the taxi

In a short video posted to Facebook group "Singapore Taxi Drivers" on Nov. 14, 2019, a driver who goes by Jak Senior clearly had enough of ferrying passengers for one night.

The driver had apparently picked up a passenger at Boat Quay to transport him to Blk 708 Pasir Ris Drive 1.

Rather unfortunately, it seemed the passenger puked during the journey.

In the comments, the driver revealed that the passenger had suddenly rolled down the passenger seat window and threw up outside.

Puke flew back inside

As the vehicle had been moving pretty fast on the highway, the puke then flew back inside, and apparently struck the driver as well.

In the clip, a large part of both the vehicle's interior and exterior, including the passenger seat and back seat, could be seen splattered with vomit.

Even the exterior side of both passenger and back seat doors were affected.

In the background of the video, the driver can be heard going "See. The puke. Vomit until the whole taxi. Everywhere."

The driver did not reveal the identity of the passenger in the video.

Passenger allegedly did not want to pay for cleanup

From the video caption, the driver complained about how the passenger had allegedly left without paying for the cleanup.

The driver had apparently told the passenger that a petrol kiosk was nearby, and whatever amount was charged for cleaning, the passenger could simply pay up that amount.

However, he said that the passenger "dun want and run away [sic]".

In a follow-up comment, the driver revealed that the cleanup cost him S$30.

In response, netizens advised the driver to claim the cleanup charges from the taxi company.

Others stated that customers were not legally required to pay for cleanup services if they had dirtied the car.

However, several commenters rebutted that such gestures are a basic courtesy.

Some Facebook users, likely fellow taxi drivers, urged the driver to be more discerning of the passengers he picked up.

They singled out passengers hailing cabs late at night from places such as Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, where drunken revelry was perhaps more common.

Sadly for the taxi driver, it seems like the stench of puke is unlikely to go away any time soon.
