A Singapore man, Samuel, has come under fire after uploading a video of what appears to be him abusing a Pomeranian.

In the video, the man is seen hitting a yapping dog with a helmet.

The dog escapes but Samuel follows it to another room, and beckons it to "come here".

It is then that he sets the dogs fur on fire three times.

While the video appears to have been deleted off his page, a reupload of the video has garnered over 1,400 shares in a little over an hour.

The action has also prompted some to report the incident to the police.

The man in question implied in a Facebook update that the incident occurred in Thailand.

Here is the video, but be warned it has incredibly distressing content.

SPCA has issued a statement on him as well.
