In a lopsided match from start to finish, the Singapore U18s lost 0-11 to Korea in their opening Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-19 Championship 2020 Qualifiers Group 1 match on November 6, 2019.

The first goal from Korea came at around the 22-minute mark.

The floodgates opened after that.

The second half didn't get off to the best of starts either, with Singapore conceding a soft header from a set piece around the 46 minute mark.

In a tale of the same half, Singapore squandered what little possession they had against the bigger Korean boys.

Despite the heavy loss, it is important to remember this is just the very start of the qualifiers, and Korea, 12-times winner, is about as tough as they come.

They won the Panda Cup in May after defeating hosts, China, 3-0, but was stripped of their title after 'indecent celebrations'.

Singapore will face hosts Myanmar, and China for their next two qualifying matches.

The team comprises of mostly players from Singapore Premier League Clubs, while four are from the Singapore Sports School.

All the best.
