The Singapore army has successfully disposed of a 50kg World War II bomb in Jiak Kim Street on Nov. 18, 2019.
They completed the task ahead of schedule.
Tribeca condominium residents were allowed back into their apartments in the area by 6.15pm.
The mission around the old Zouk club area was slated to last between 8am and 6pm.
The first detonation took place at 11am.
A tremor was reportedly felt up to 1km away.
A large number of residents and hotel staff and guests were evacuated from the area to enable the safe detonation of the bomb.
The relevant authorities are inspecting the site of the disposal to ensure that structural integrity of key infrastructure are intact.
The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team carried out the bomb disposal.
In a Facebook post shared by the Singapore Police Force at 4.52pm, the public was informed of the completion of the disposal:
The post in full:The war relic, which was discovered at a construction site along Jiak Kim Street during excavation works, has been successfully disposed of at about 4.35pm today.
The Building and Construction Authority, PUB, the Land Transport Authority and SP Group are currently assessing the construction site, roads, nearby drains and pipelines, as well as the vacated condominiums and hotel for building and structural safety. Meanwhile, these affected roads and a portion of the Singapore River remain closed.
Members of the public are advised to avoid the affected area until further notice.

At 6.15pm, the police issued a final update and gave the all clear.
It said the Building and Construction Authority, PUB, the Land Transport Authority and SP Group have completed their assessment of the construction site, nearby drains and pipelines, as well as the vacated condominiums and hotel.
They have assessed that the affected buildings and roads are structurally safe.
River Valley Green, Kim Seng Road (between Kim Seng Promenade and Havelock Road), Zion Road slip road towards Kim Seng Road and the Singapore River have been reopened to vehicles and ferries.
The condominium residents, hotel guests and staff have been informed that it is safe to return to their homes and hotel.
The police thanked all affected residents and the management committees of Mirage Tower condominium, Tribeca by the Waterfront condominium and Rivergate condominium, as well as affected guests and staff of Grand Copthorne Waterfront hotel for their cooperation and understanding.
