Action star Jet Li may be a global celebrity, but his daughter Jane is making waves of her own.

Student, fashion icon, social activist

According to Lianhe Wanbao, Jet Li revealed that his 19-year-old daughter had been offered places in Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, but eventually, as one might imagine, went with Harvard.

Jane started as a student there last year.

She was also recently invited to the exclusive Les Bal des Débutantes, or Le Bal for short, a Parisian invitation-only couture event, once named by Forbes as the "world's 10 hottest parties".

The event, held annually in November, usually invites girls who hail from families well-known in entertainment, business, or politics.

According to Wanbao, Jane had as a child dreamt of becoming the first female president of the United States, although her horizons have since expanded from an interest in criminal justice to fashion design.

However, her original goal to give back to society has always remained constant.

At Harvard, she serves as board member for the First Year Social Committee for the class of 2022.

Jane is also the outreach chair for the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian-American Association, working to promote and raise awareness for Asian minority issues.

The 19-year-old interned with the United Nations in 2016 as well.

Studied in S'pore for 11 years

In 2009, Jet Li had taken up Singapore citizenship after giving up American citizenship.

According to an entertainment website cited by AsiaOne, he wanted to have his children study under Singapore's education system.

As such, Jane studied in Singapore over more than 10 years, from 2007 to 2018, at the Singapore American School.

Jane also had the opportunity to dance with Andy Lau at his concert in 2007.

And she is quite the dancer, with a report from Jaynestars stating that she was a "twice crowned champion at national-level Latin dancing competitions" by the age of six.

So talented.
