Height restriction barrier collapsed

According to the Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao on Nov. 3, about 14 men spent close to 30 minutes to shift the barrier to the side.

The report also said that most residents were soundly asleep and there were very few cars in the middle of the night.

The loud thud failed to cause alarm in the middle of the night and the fallen barrier was only noticed when the nearby stallholders went to their stalls.

The barrier blocking the entrance to the car park on Sunday morning had caused much inconvenience to the residents, stallholders, and visitors, as many had to take a longer route to enter the car park.

Residents and construction workers moved the barrier away

It was not an easy feat to move the barrier which was estimated to be at least two metres tall and eight metres wide.

A total of 14 helpful residents and construction workers reportedly carried and moved the barrier to one side at around 10:15am.
