A heartwarming act near Toa Payoh polyclinic was recently caught on video.

Footage of the incident was shared on Facebook on Wednesday, Nov. 20 by Eileena Lee, who witnessed the act.

Walked elderly woman to her block

The 14-second video showed a GrabFood rider holding the hand of an elderly woman as they slowly made their way down a sheltered walkway.

When they reached the end of the walkway, they turned the corner and continued walking.

The rider was seen supporting his bike with his other hand.

Apparently, he had helped the elderly woman cross the road as well.

According to Lee, even when she offered to accompany the elderly woman so that the food delivery personnel could continue with his delivery, she was told he would continue to assist the woman.

You can watch the video here:

The video's caption said:

Walked out of the polyclinic and saw this sweet young man helping the grandma to cross the road and then to her block. Offered to take over so that he can continue with the delivery, he said it's ok.

Can't seem to tag Grab Food.

Met with praise

One commenter pointed out that even as the man was helping the elderly woman, he appeared to have some mobility difficulties himself:

While neither of these men likely expected public recognition for their good deed, their selfless actions have touched those who have witnessed them.

Kudos to the man in the video and others like him for their kindness and willingness to help others.
