A Singaporean man drove to Johor Bahru for a holiday had two tablets left in his BMW stolen after he parked his car and went for a meal.

When he returned to his car, he realised that the window of his car had been smashed, and both tablets had been stolen, which were worth about S$1,000.

According to China Press, the incident happened on Oct. 29, at about 7:35pm, near a seafood restaurant in Gelang Patah.

The driver is a 43-year-old man.

Parked in dark area

The police also added that the man had parked his car around a residential area, but as it was dark, the CCTV in the vicinity was unable to capture footage of the incident.

The owner of the vehicle hopes to retrieve the two lost tablets, as he was concerned that the information in the tablet would be stolen.

Singapore Chinese news media 8world reported that it understood that the owner attempted tracking the last location of his tablets, and found that it was around Skudai in Johor.

However, police were unable to find traces of the perpetrator when they investigated the area.

Johor police are investigating the case under Article 379 of the Malaysian Criminal Code.
