Those thinking of heading to Japan in 2020 in time for the Olympics can also take a detour to Tokyo Disneyland, because a brand new development will be opening to guests.

Beauty and the Beast, Baymax and more

Under construction since April 2017, the ¥75 billion (S$959 million) development will finally be opening on April 15, 2020, reported Yahoo.

Alongside new additions to Tomorrowland and Toontown, the New Fantasyland will be an expansion of the existing Fantasyland area.

New Fantasyland will feature brand new Beauty and the Beast-themed attractions, according to a press release by Tokyo Disney Resort.

It will centre around Belle's village, where guests can visit Belle's father at Maurice's cottage, Gaston's Fountain and other shops and restaurants.

Here are some sneak peeks of the upcoming attractions.
