Singtel has the English Premier League rights up till May 2022.

One of their plans for people in Singapore to catch all the action is a S$49.90/month package involving all the matches.

One user succinctly recorded basically what's wrong with the service.

Forever.

Here were the matches (spoilers) affected by the technical difficulties.

Perhaps the match that incited the most anger in terms of fan outcry was the Liverpool match.

But everyone had their fair share of gripes with the app/browser.

The technical issues lasted over two hours for some.

Here is a comment after three minutes of delay.

So the rest of the delays shouldn't really be much of a surprise.

Singtel issued a statement on Facebook at 11.15pm subsequently.

But commenters weren't exactly appeased.

A subscriber Mothership spoke with detailed just why this technical issue caused such a kerfuffle, exactly because this wasn't the first time glitches occurred.

"The first was during their promotion period where they had sort of an open trial and it didn't work."

We have reached out to Singtel for a statement and will update the article accordingly.
