A man in Hong Kong, supposedly a protester, went on a "joyride" during the demonstrations on the night of Oct. 4.
But instead of making off with a motorbike or a car, he drove away in a big excavator used for construction.

According to the Instagram post, someone had apparently witnessed the man climb into the excavator, and then drive off with it.
Supposedly downloaded instructions on phone
According to a Facebook post in LIHKG, it is believed that the man did not know how to drive the excavator. He had supposedly downloaded an instruction manual using his phone.
He then allegedly drove the excavator to a police station, although its "final fate" is unknown.
The moment was captured in a video that quickly circulated on Twitter on the night of Oct. 4.
LIHKG forum says some HKer ‘borrowed’ an escavator. Downloaded a manual from the internet. Drove towards a police station. Fate unknown but funny as fuck. #HongKongProtests #AntiELAB #FreeHongKong pic.twitter.com/06rguFwFF4

Some Twitter users praised the protester's "quick-thinking".
Really cute that he downloaded the manual and learn to drive from start. HKppl is good at improvising.

And someone else said it's due to all the studying that Hong Kong youths do.
