Invited to the White House, held a prayer session

According to Prince's Facebook post on Oct. 18, he and his wife were invited to the White House while they were in the U.S. capital of Washington D.C..

Prince is conducting a tour in the U.S. titled, "A Night of Worship with Joseph Prince," which included a stop in D.C. on Oct. 16.

His meeting with the Vice-President included a prayer session.

The pastor also met with Senator Kevin Cramer (R-ND), who appeared to have joined Prince for the prayer session, according to his tweets.

Why would Prince meet with Pence?

According to VoxPence has a close affinity with evangelical Christians.

It appears that Prince is highly popular with the same demographic as well, going by the reaction of Americans to his post.

Prince's tour has a total of five stops across the U.S., running from Oct. 13 to Oct. 30.

This includes a stop at Washington D.C. on Oct. 16, which has since been listed as sold out.

New Creation Church was the second most successful fundraiser in 2018

Prince's NCC was listed as the second most successful fundraiser in Singapore for 2018, The Straits Times (ST) reported in July 2019.

The church currently owns Daystar Child Development Centre, and a subsidiary called Rock Productions.

ST further reported that Rock Productions in turn owns The Star Performing Arts Centre (PAC), Shine Auditorium, Rock Gifts & Books Centre, and Omega Tours & Travel.

A spokesman for NCC clarified that it is not the church's intention to go into business.

Rather, such organisations were established with the aim of meeting the needs of their congregation and helping the community.

Previously an IT consultant before becoming a pastor

In a 2008 interview with The Sunday Times, Prince revealed that he was an IT consultant prior to becoming a full-time pastor.

Additionally, Joseph Prince was also the name that he adopted while working in his previous job.

Prince said, "I saw in the Bible that everyone that God raised, he changed their names."

He added that his conversion to Christianity came when, as a young man dabbling in the occult, "supernatural experiences" opened his eyes to Christianity.
