A eight-year-old girl in China has died after her mother slapped the back of her head for failing to do her homework properly.

According to SETN, the girl started showing symptoms of dizziness and vomiting afterwards, and was urgently sent to the hospital at night but could not be saved.

Watched cartoons while doing homework

The Taiwanese site reported that the girl had been watching cartoons while doing her homework in the day, which resulted in careless mistakes in her work.

The anxious mother slapped the back of her daughter's head, but felt guilty for it almost immediately after when the girl burst into tears.

To console her daughter, the mother gave her child some pickled chicken feet as a snack to stop her crying.

Started vomiting and felt dizzy

Soon after eating the chicken legs, the girl started to show signs of dizziness and began to vomit.

She was subsequently sent to the hospital for urgent medical attention, but doctors were unable to save her.

The mother thought it was the pickled chicken feet that may have been the fatal cause of her daughter's death.

However, doctors discovered that the real cause of death was a cerebral rupture in her brain.

Had pre-existing medical condition

The cerebral rupture, caused by traumatic injury due to external force applied, was a result of the slap on the girl's head, the mother admitted in guilt.

According to the doctor, the deceased girl had a pre-existing medical condition in her brain.

She had cerebrovascular malformation, which causes malformation in the arteries and veins.

The trauma caused by the mother's slap had caused the deformed blood vessels in her brain to rupture, which eventually led to the tragedy.
