The popular Japanese BAKE Cheese Tart that once drew never-ending lines will close its ION Orchard outlet to make way for its sister brand, Croquant Chou Zakuzaku.
The popular Hokkaido sweets chain by BAKE specialises in stick cream puffs, and is set to open on Nov. 30, 2019.
The Hokkaido sweets chain by BAKE is already be found in cities in Taiwan, South Korea, and Thailand.
The cream puff will be priced at S$2.80 per stick, or S$10.50 for a box of four.
The skin of the cream puff has a crispy texture made of almonds coated with sugar and egg white, characterised by the store's name "zakuzaku".
The hiyazaku will also be available in store for S$3.80, which is sliced open in half, and filled with soft ice cream.
Sort of like an ice cream sandwich.
Besides cream puffs, the store will also be selling soft serve ice cream, available in cone and cup for S$6.
Address: 2 Orchard Turn, #B4-33 ION Orchard, Singapore 238801
