Man, 63, allegedly murdered by 54-year-old lady in Ang Mo Kio flat

The victim and suspect were thought to be a couple living together.

A man, 63, was found dead in a flat at Blk 633 Ang Mo Kio Ave 6 on Oct. 27.

In a statement to Mothership, the police were alerted to the case at 5:46am on Sunday morning, and have classified the case as murder.

Woman, 53, arrested for murder

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the victim and suspect, a 54-year-old woman, knew each other before the murder took place.

According to reporters from Straits Times, the victim and suspect had been living together at the third-floor unit for about two years.

Neighbours said that the couple have been seen regularly going to the hawker centre together, and added that they have a young daughter.

In the same ST article, neighbours and witnesses had said that they were "a loving couple".

Woman to be charged in court

The SPF spokesman mentioned in their statement that the suspect will be charged in court on Monday, Oct. 28.

Here is the full statement.

"On 27 October 2019 at 5.46am, the Police were alerted to a case of unnatural death at Blk 633 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6. A 63-year-old man was found lying motionless and was pronounced dead by paramedics at scene.

The Police have classified the case as murder. Preliminary investigations revealed that both the victim and the suspect are known to each other. A 53-year-old woman, has been arrested in relation to the case and will be charged in court on 28 October 2019.

Police investigations are ongoing."
