Saudi Arabia has plenty of outstanding infrastructure.

But this hotel will probably still stand out quite a bit.

Here are some pictures of what the Abraj Kudai is expected to look like.

The completed product will have some 10,000 rooms, 70 restaurants, 12 towers and four helipads.

It will also have a section reserved for the Saudi royal family.

The centre of the structure will have a dome mounted on two of the towers. The dome will house a multi-functional ballroom as well as a convention centre.

The US$3.5 billion (S$4.7 billion) hotel was actually slated for a 2019 opening, but financial issues halted construction in 2015.

Construction resumed in 2017.
