M'sia taxis to S'pore now available as 24-hour taxi stand opposite JB City Square opened on Oct. 15, 2019

If buses and trains aren't your thing, Singaporeans can now have the option of taking a Malaysia taxi back to Singapore from Johor Bahru.

24-hour taxi stand opens opposite JB City Square Mall

According to China Press, a taxi stand located opposite Johor Bahru City Square has started operations on Oct. 15, 2019.

The taxi stand is located outside the KTM Berhad Museum building, which is the old railway station.

The taxi stand provides 24-hour taxi service back to Singapore.

So far, it was reported that the response has been encouraging.

Over the past few days of operations, an increasing number of trips have been made.

It was also reported that 13 trips were made on Oct. 15, the first day of operations , followed by 21 trips the next day.

As of 10:30am on Oct. 17, 14 trips were already made.

However, the price of the taxi service back to Singapore was not mentioned in the article.

The taxi drivers interviewed said there will be 30 taxis stationed there every day to take turns to pick up passengers.

At the moment, the drivers have to bear with the hot weather as they will wait for customers at the open-air shelter.

Moving forward, they hope better facilities can be provided to improve the welfare of drivers and waiting experience for customers.
