20-year-old woman falls off 50-storey sky bridge at Pinnacle@Duxton, misses air packs & dies

A 20-year-old woman was found sitting on the ledge of the sky bridge at The Pinnacle@Duxton on Oct. 14 for an hour.

She jumped off from the 50th storey sky bridge and was pronounced dead immediately.

Speaking to Mothership, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that it responded to an incident involving a person sitting on a ledge at Cantonment Road at about 7.30 pm.

According to the spokesperson, SCDF deployed two safety life air packs as a precautionary measure.

Unfortunately, the person jumped and fell beyond the air packs.

A paramedic pronounced the person dead.

The police have classified the case as unnatural death.

According to the police, the deceased was found motionless at the foot of the block.

Investigations are ongoing.

The sky bridge is open to the public from 9am to 9pm, except during special events.
