Two women were slashed with a penknife during a robbery at Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10, on Sep. 23.

Three men aged between 37 and 50 have been arrested for their suspected involvement in the robbery attempt.

Took five handphones and slashed victims

The women were attacked at Block 532 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10.

The suspects took five handphones belonging to the two victims and their colleague, and one of the suspects slashed the two women.

Police officers later established the identities of the three men through ground enquiries and with the aid of images from nearby CCTV cameras.

The perpetrators were then arrested.

The three men will be charged with robbery with hurt on Sep. 25.

If convicted, they face a jail term of not less than five years and not more than 20 years.

They will also be punished with caning of up to 12 strokes.
