Here's a new tourist hotspot for Singaporeans travelling to Johor.

Sunway Big Box is slated to open in mid-December 2019.

Five kilometres away from Second Link

Located in the suburbs of Medini (located 5 km away from the Second Link), Sunway Big Box is Malaysia's first hybrid retail park.

This is about a 20-minute drive away from Tuas Checkpoint.

As a hybrid retail park, the 24-acre plot of land will comprise of a hotel, a cinema, several large format stores and an extreme park.

It is expected to offer close to 100 retail, F&B and entertainment stores.

Cheap books & ninja obstacle course

Visitors can expect stores like BookXcess, a book store carrying a wide range of fiction and non-fiction books for all ages.

This will also be the first BookXcess outlet in Johor.

For the thrill-seekers, there is also the EnerG X Park, where visitors can participate in thrilling activities like the Ninja Obstacle Course.

There are several food options at Sunway Big Box including Loon Sing Banquet Restaurant, Mr Dakgalbi, Starbucks, Gong Cha and many more.

Go glamping & other fun activities

For visitors who intend to stay for the night, Sunway Berhad is expected to build the Big Box Hotel.

If you're looking for something different, Sunway's X Park will also have a glamping site.

While glamping at the X Park, visitors can also partake in interesting activities such as the Aqua Walk.

A thrilling rope course.

And if you're up for a challenge, a Motocross course.
