On Sep. 26, 2019, at around 2pm, an accident occurred at Bayfront involving a Ferrari and Toyota minivan.

Ferrari appeared to be avoiding another car

Dashcam footage of the incident posted to Facebook showed a grey Toyota Altis first turning out of a side road near the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center.

The Altis cuts across two lanes and appeared to be aiming for the right-most lane, where a white Toyota minivan was waiting to make a U-turn.

A red Ferrari, however, suddenly sped into the frame and rear-ends the stationary minivan, causing it to move forward and start to turn onto the opposite road.

From the video, it appeared as if the Ferrari had been attempting to avoid the Altis that was cutting into its lane, and had collided into the minivan as a result.

The Altis then continues making the U-turn and drives off.

The remaining footage after the crash showed at least four other supercars speeding past the accident area.

Photos of the subsequent wreckage were circulated online as well.

Several people commented that the Altis was at fault.

Some, however, pointed out that the Ferrari might have been speeding too.

While another comment stated that the road there was badly planned, forcing cars turning out to cut across four lanes in a short distance to make a U-turn.

Woman taken to the hospital

On Sep. 27, The Straits Times reported that a 29-year-old woman involved in the accident was taken to Raffles Hospital.

The woman was reportedly conscious at the time, and is believed to be the driver of the white minvan, reported The New Paper.

Investigations by the police are ongoing.
