Australian singer Kimberley Chen recently came under fire for her choice of outdoor wear while walking her dogs.

In a series of photos posted by Chen herself, the singer, who is currently based in Taiwan, is seen in a two-piece flesh-coloured bikini walking two dogs.

This took place not at a beach, but at a train station.

Chen's post was accompanied by the caption: "Even on your worst day, love you in the worst way."

A few days later, Chen posted another three photos of the same occasion.

Facebook users respond

Most Facebook users complimented her but there were many who called her out for her dressing, with one even advising her to take down the photos:

"Freaking pervert."

Manager: Chen is now a grown-up lady

In response to queries by The Straits Times (ST), Chen's manager, Angela Tang, said: "Actually Kimberley is Australian. If these photos were published in Australia, there would be hardly any criticism."

Tang added that Chen needed to break out of her "cute image" and is now a "grown-up lady" after releasing three studio albums.

"Just like child stars such as Miley Cyrus, who had to change her Disney star image to a grown-up performer, Kimberley has to let the world know that she has grown into a mature performer," said Tang.

Well, looks like the world is going to see a lot more of this grown-up lady.
