On Sep. 22, local artiste and entrepreneur Jacelyn Tay shared about a "miracle" healing that her sister recently experienced.
Many remember Tay as a Mediacorp actress, although she also founded Body Inc. Holistic Wellness Centre in 2006, where she currently works as a health coach.
Had to remove womb
A few weeks ago, Tay's sister discovered that she had 9cm cyst in her womb.
The discovery came as "sudden news", and the doctor advised Tay's sister to undergo an operation immediately.
Her entire womb would have to be removed due to certain complications, Tay wrote.
However, Tay's sister asked for two weeks before going for the operation, as she was hoping for a miracle.
The time would also help to emotionally come to terms with what was happening.
During the period, the patient "prayed fervently to God" to take the huge cyst away.
Final scan
When the time for the operation came around two weeks later, Tay's sister asked for a final scan.
According to Tay, her sister wanted the doctor to make sure that the hysterectomy was absolutely necessary.
However, to the doctor's shock, the 9cm cyst had disappeared.
Tay wrote that the doctor checked multiple times, and kept saying that it was "impossible" that such a big cyst would disappear.
Tay's sister was thrilled upon hearing the news and attributed the miracle to her religious beliefs.
Even while celebrating the joyful news, Tay advised that one should also accept their fate if denied a miracle.
Her post has gathered more than 3,000 likes and 300 shares.
