Family of elderly cyclist & e-scooter accident appealing for accident footage

An elderly cyclist has been hospitalised after a colliding with 20-year-old male riding an e-scooter.

The accident occurred at Bedok North on Sep. 21 evening.

The 65-year-old woman, Ong Bee Eng, is currently on life support at Changi General Hospital.

She suffered injuries to her brain, sustaining fractures to her rib cage and collarbone, Shin Min Daily News reports.

Spreading the word

Ong's family is seeking in-car video footage of the accident.

An appeal was put up on Facebook by one Jeron Goh, who claims to be a close friend of Ong's child.

Goh describes Ong as "kind-hearted" and says she is "nice to everyone around her".

He hopes that the family can stay strong during this tough period, and asks that other Facebook users help to spread word of his appeal.
