The past month has been horribly dry and hot for Singapore.

The water bodies and greenery here have visibly dried up since the dry spell on Jul. 31, 2019.

If you have been praying for rain, here's to a cooler afternoon.

Downpour expected

According to the advisory from the National Environment Agency (NEA), heavy thundery showers with gusty wind after 4pm.

The heavy rain might have also led to flash floods in some areas.

The rain clouds continue to move towards the eastern and southern parts of Singapore at around 6pm.
