Three of those involved in the Orchard Towers murder were due in court on Thursday, Aug. 29.
The three are Chan Jia Xing, 26, Loo Boon Chong, 25, and Tan Hong Sheng, 22.
They were out on S$15,000 bail.
Murder charges for the three men were reduced on July 11, 2019.
They were charge with consorting with a person with an offensive weapon, which carries a three-year jail term with six strokes of the cane.
However, one of the three accused, Tan, was not present at the hearing.
He is being represented by Josephus Tan, Cory Wong, and Shane Yeo.
He is currently uncontactable.
His mother has filed a police report three days ago.
If an accused fails to appear in court on the stipulated date and time, the court will issue a warrant of arrest against him.
A "notice to show cause" will also be issued to the surety to enable him to explain to the court on a specified date as to why he should not be ordered to pay the bail amount forfeited by the court.
As for the remaining two suspects, Chan has had his bail increased to S$20,000, which means his bailor has to pay S$5,000 more, Loo also had his bail extended, but it was kept at S$15,000.
Chan's bail has been raised because he is applying to go overseas.
The two's next court date is Sept. 12.
