Chinese national Lin Rongxin, 31, allegedly raped seven teenage girls at multiple locations over a 10-month period.
He also allegedly committed sexual assault on another teenage girl.
According to The Straits Times, his victims were aged 14 to 19.
If convicted for rape or sexual assault, he faces a jail term of up to 20 years and a fine or caning.
Teenage girls raped in men’s toilet
Four girls were allegedly raped, on four separate occasions, at a men’s toilet on the seventh storey of an industrial building, Block 1008 Toa Payoh North.
Two of the girls were aged 14 at the time, while the other two were aged 17 and 18.
The alleged rapes took place between September 2018 and June 2019.
Other rapes took place elsewhere
Lin also stands accused of raping three other girls at three other locations:
- A 19-year-old in a Balestier Hotel room at Balestier Road, in May 2019.
- A 15-year-old at an undisclosed Toa Payoh location, in February 2019.
- A 14-year-old at Bishan Loft, an executive condominium, in December 2018.
He is also alleged to have sexually assaulted another 14-year-old girl in the Toa Payoh North toilet by performing oral sex on her in November 2018.
