Foreign workers chose to help stalled car, drivers behind chose to horn instead

They really do the jobs Singaporeans don't want to do

Facebook user Laura Yeap posted a photograph of several foreign workers, together with her companion Jon, helping push a stalled car to the side of the road last Saturday (Mar. 5).

This incident occurred at Kim Keat Court, Toa Payoh Lorong 8 where road works were being carried out.

She noted that instead of getting down to help push the car, the drivers from the "good 10 cars piled up behind us" horned at them instead.

Here's what she posted in full:

"From out of nowhere and without hesitation, a bunch of workers sprinted over to help Jon push aside a car that had broken down in front of us. A good 10 cars piled up behind us and not a single person came to help, but instead honked at us. So quit this xenophobia rubbish about transient workers because they deserve so much more credit. Thanks, you guys. ‪#‎whatabeautifulmorning‬ ‪#‎shutyoface‬"

Good on you Laura and Jon for being helpful.
