He is pretty good at this.

The National Day Rally every year is a good time for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to show why he is boss.

This year's rally is no exception. Besides totally killing it by delivering his speech in Mandarin, Malay and English, National Day Rally 2014 will be remembered for a number of other things: PM Lee delivered it in a corporate keynote presentation style with a lot of laser pointer pointing, carried out his own interviews, spoke at length about the Central Provident Fund (CPF) with his defamation lawsuit looming, interspersed with light-hearted anecdotes and his use of dialect.

Regardless, here are 9 quotable quotes by PM Lee from National Day Rally 2014:

1. "Last year, I was your real estate agent. This year, I have upgraded myself and become a financial planner."

- PM Lee explaining to the audience about CPF's Minimum Sum.

2. "Just return my CPF money. Don't give it back to my husband, he will spend it all!"

- PM Lee recounting Minister of State Teo Ser Luck's conversation with a resident in her 60s, during the Mandarin version of his National Day Rally speech.

3. "This PG card, some journalists call it the 'red card'. This is not the 'red card' issued at the World Cup but it is just as powerful!"

- PM Lee explained the significance of the privilege card for the Pioneer Generation, during the Mandaring version of his National Day Rally Speech.

4. "One resident saw a fishball stick on the walkway one day. The next day, the same stick was still there. So Yen Ling (referring to Mayor Low Yen Ling) called up the agencies, to find out why the area was not being cleaned regularly... Here is what she found: (1) On the left of the walkway is a slope, under NEA; (2) In the middle is a park connector, under NParks; (3) On the right is a pavement next to the road, under LTA; (4) The different cleaners each had their own cleaning schedules; (5) The fishball stick was on the right side, which was only cleaned every two days"

- PM Lee on setting up a Municipal Services Office to coordinate all the agencies to focus on service delivery.

5. "It will be a 'Jewel' in Jurong!"

- PM Lee on building the a new Science Centre in Jurong.

6. "He gave me a model airplane... powered by a rubber-band"

- PM Lee on a gift he received from President Yusof Ishak.

7. "'Participant: Give me back my CPF! I want to spend it all. MP Hri Kumar: 'Then who will take care of you if your money runs out? Participant: 'God will help me.'"

- PM Lee recounting a dialogue between a participant and MP Hri Kumar.

8. "NEA bao ga liao."

- PM Lee on the National Environment Agency's role in overseeing everything as a new municipal services office will be set up to coordinate different agencies. Bao ga liao is dialect for "taking care of everything".

9. "Oh, that is a powerful passport."

- PM Lee's reaction when he interviewed an ordinary Singaporean who said he was allowed to eat in a restaurant overseas after he flashed his Singaporean passport.
