At about 3:05 pm on Wednesday (July 14), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was alerted to a fire along Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards Central Expressway (CTE) before Woodlands Avenue 2.

Incident caught on video

A video on Facebook page, SG Road Vigilante, allegedly showed the incident that took on July 14.

In the video, the burning truck could be seen on the road shoulder along the expressway. However, it is not known if the fire broke out before or after the truck was pulled to the side of the road.

From the video, it seemed that the flames were concentrated at the front of the truck.

In a later portion of the video, the SCDF could be seen attending to the fire.

Neither driver nor passengers from the truck were seen at the scene of the accident.

SCDF: No injuries reported

The SCDF told Mothership that the fire involved the truck's engine compartment which was later extinguished using a hose reel and water jet.

There were no injuries reported.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
