McDonald's Hello Kitty holders resold on Carousell for up to S$50

McDonald's announced on Nov. 12 that it will be launching exclusive Hello Kitty holders at stores islandwide on Nov. 14 at 7am.

The carrier is available at S$7.90 each with the purchase of any Extra Value Meal, or Doubles Feast.

Customers are limited to two carriers per transaction.

Queues were orderly

As predicted, queues for these Hello Kitty holders were spotted at various McDonald's outlets in Singapore, as per photos and videos from some users on Instagram.

One user even stated that she woke up at 5:30am just to queue up for a holder and she does not even wake up so early for work.

There were already about 50 people in the queue at around 6:18am.

Resold for more than five times the price

It is also apparent that these limited edition holders experienced high demand, as some in the queues are scalpers.

The Hello Kitty holders are sold for as high as S$50, which is more than six times the price of the original:
