The Bazaar Raya Geylang Serai 2024 will run from Mar. 8 to Apr. 9, 2024.

Minister of State for Home Affairs and National Development Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim announced the dates in a Facebook post on Jan. 12.

He shared that customers can expect lots of food, shopping, entertainment, and colourful lights at this year's event.

In 2023, there were more than 700 stalls, with about 150 food stalls and 550 retail stalls.

Max rent cap for 2024 Bazaar

In October 2023, Faishal announced that there would be a maximum rental cap of S$15,000 per booth at the Bazaar Raya Geylang Serai 2024.

This comes after receiving feedback from the public.

He stated that a maximum rental cap would "ensure that it is more affordable for our sellers and consumers."

"This will benefit consumers by offering items which are more cost-effective," he added.

It was reported in April 2023 that the base rental cost for stalls at the bazaar went up to S$25,000 a month.

The organisers said then that the rental costs were "within the market rental rate", and the bazaar ran for 36 days longer than previous years' bazaars.
