Li Chun, the beginning of Spring, takes place every year on Feb 4.

In recent years, the practice of depositing money at the bank has emerged for Singaporeans who believe that doing so will give them good fortune and prosperity for the year. Some will don auspicious colours and deposit their cash during the special two-hour windows circulating online.

Now that the key "golden hours" for depositing cash are over, we bring you some of the thousands of people who made their way to cash deposit machines all over the island to drop off their Yusof Ishaks:
