Such faith.

City News, a website that covers City Harvest Church positively because it belongs to the church, has released a video on Oct. 26 of CHC members reacting to the high-profile trial verdict outcome where six current and former leaders have been found guilty of fraud:

From the video, it can be seen that congregants, both young and old, were unanimously supportive and staying united, despite the guilty trial verdict.

It featured at least one recognisable face, Elim Chew, founder of 77th Street.

Chew said:

"Of course I'm very saddened by the news. My heart cries out because I love all of them very much. But most important, I believe, is to come together as a family and to be supportive of everything that is happening and the family as well. We are in prayer, and are praying for miracles as well that will happen. And I am most excited today because after seeing the Church coming together, and believing in the new management and the boards and the pastors, we are here together as a family."

"From here onward, this is only one way up. And with God's presence with us, I know we are called for a greater destiny ahead and a greater purpose for Asia and the world."

Another church member said:

"Over the past three years, my cell group doubled in size, so I guess it really shows that trial or no trial, we're still doing the work of God. And I'm so excited for the days ahead. I know that God is still with the church, God is still with every single cell group here and we will continue to do the work of God... We will definitely go to the next level with CHC 2.0."

However, it was reported in The Straits Times that there has been a 25 percent drop in members since 2009:

The verdict ended a criminal investigation that began in 2010 - what many former members thought was the start of the decline of one of Singapore's biggest mega-churches.

In 2009, CHC was pulling a congregation of 23,565, according to figures from its annual reports.

That figure has been dwindling since, dropping to 17,522 last year - a decrease of more than 25 per cent from 2009.

Other members featured looked to be as young as 10 years old.

The video has been viewed some 15,000 times. Comments on the video posted on YouTube have been disabled though.

It has received 200 Dislikes and 75 Likes at the time of this post's publication.
