Ex-PAP MP Irene Ng's used car ad indirectly announces Khaw Boon Wan as next Transport Minister

Here's your chance to drive a former MP's car. If that is even a goal in life.

Three-term former PAP MP for Tampines GRC Irene Ng put up a photo of her car on Facebook with a note saying she is looking for a buyer:

to sell my car - don't need it now that I have stepped down from politics and the hectic schedule that went...

She said she is selling it because her life is less hectic now that she has escaped the trappings of political office.

No price was mentioned but for a Honda Civic bought in 2007, the going price now is between $30,000 and $42,000, depending on the month it was purchased -- according to SGCarMart.

Ng, who became a parliamentarian in 2001, is known as an avid cyclist who pushed for Tampines to be the first cycling town in Singapore -- where it is illegal to ride on footpaths everywhere except in Tampines.

Fellow Tampines GRC MP and Education Minister Heng Swee Keat, previously credited Ng for her cycling initiative:

"So now, Tampines has a park connector, has a cycling network, and we probably have the most number of bicycles per head in the whole of Singapore," he said.

"It is a legacy that Irene has built for all of us, and we will build on that and we will make Tampines an even better cycling town."

Therefore, from this line in Ng's Facebook post -- ["Will rely on public transport and cycling (shout out to the incoming Transport Minister)"], we deduce:

Irene Ng is a cyclist.

She pushed for the park connectors initiative in Tampines.

Parks are under the purview of NParks.

NParks, a statutory board, is under the purview of the Ministry of National Development.

The Minister of National Development is Khaw Boon Wan.

She gave a shoutout to incoming transport minister.

Therefore, the next Transport Minister is Khaw Boon Wan.

The end.

Update, Sept. 28, 2015: Turns out, deduction was right
